Steve Drury

dømmer 2. og 3. divisionSteven Drury er trompet-, flygelhorn- og cornetsolist og lærer/instruktør i messing med en omfattende erfaring som solist med nogle af de bedste ensembler i verden, heriblandt LSO Brass, London BFFrass, Black Dyke Band, GUS Band, Sun Life Band samt Fairey Band – altid på solopladser, og ofte som bandkonkurrencevinder.Steven arbejder med mange unge musikere i UK, og er Musical Director i Music of the Essex Youth Brass Ensemble. Han fungerer stadig som messinginstruktør i UK og (ofte også) i Danmark.Han holder af at komponere og arrangere, og har fået adskillige værker udgivet af The Music Company (UK) Ltd.Som sidebeskæftigelse spiller han studiejobs, især TV og film. Senest har han medvirket i BBC ‘The One Show’ med  Brighouse and Rastrick Band samt i Tom Hooper’s Oscarvindende film Les Miserables.


Michael Fowles

dømmer elitedivisionen, 1. division og koncertdivisionenWidely regarded as one of the leading conductors of his generation Michael hails from the rich musical tradition of North Staffordshire.He has been Musical Director of Foden’s band since 2008 and Professional Conductor of the Desford Colliery Band since 2016. Having worked with many of the country’s leading bands, Michael has a reputation for entertaining concert programming and high standards in competition. He is well known for having transferable skills, having won Championship section contests with 11 different bands either in regular working relationships or on a freelance basis.Michael is also a member of the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators and has officiated at numerous Regional Qualifying contests, The National Finals, Butlins Mineworkers Festival and the Swiss Nationals amongst others. Educational work also forms an important part of Michael’s musical life. He is Course Director of both the Wessex Band Summer School and Fodens Armagh Summer School. He is also Musical Director of Fodens Youth Band, The NEMBBA Youth Band and Musical Advisor to Lions Youth Band.Michael has written for both Brass Band World and British Bandsman, given many premiere performances, conducted concerto appearances of eminent soloists and directed many commercial CDs and broadcasts for both BBC Radio 2 and 3.


Niels-Ole Bo Johansen

dømmer 2. og 3. divisionNiels-Ole Bo Johansen blev allerede som19 årig ansat som musiker i Prinsens Livreg. Musikkorps og har siden spillet i Fynske Livregiments Musikkorps og i Aarhus Symfoniorkester til 2000, hvorefter han, da han blev udnævnt til professor på DetJyske Musikkonservatorium, helligede sig undervisning og administration.Som solist og pædagog har han optrådt på festivaler og givet masterclasses over det meste af verden og optrådt med soloprogrammer, med basun og elektronik samt med organisten professorUlrik Spang-Hanssen og pianisten professor Erik Kaltoft. Niels-Ole har indspillet 15 solo CD’er og redigerer nu sin egen serie af dansk basunmusik på forlaget ”Cherry Classics.”Han var 2nd vice president for The International Trombone Association i perioden 2011-14, bestyrelsesformand for Århus Sinfonietta i to perioder 1990-1997 og 2007-2015, bestyrelsesformand Dansk Musiktidskrift 2008-10. I perioden 2008-2017 medlem af The International Trombone Festival Board.Niels-Ole bor i den gamle skole i Ølsted sammen med sin kone og tre børn sammen med et skiftende antal husdyr. Fritiden bruges på at arrangere for vidt forskellige besætninger, reparere sommerhuset på Læsø og samle kantareller.


Mike Kilroy

dømmer elitedivisionen, 1. division og koncertdivisionenMike Kilroy begyndte som althornist, men skiftede hurtigt til euphonium. Han har spillet med Wingates, Yorkshire Imperial Metals, Leyland DAF, Fairey Band, Grimethorpe Colliery og Brighouse and Rastrick bands. Han har været solo euphonium i Desford Colliery Band, Hammonds Saltaire Band og nu i Hepworth Band.Han har et stor karriere som dommer, dirigent og solist, og har siden 2013 været formand for Brass Bands England.


Patrik Randefalk

dømmer elitedivisionen, 1. division og koncertdivisionenPatrik Randefalk started playing the euphonium at the age of 6 in the Ystad Salvation Army Band in Sweden. He completed his pre-graduate musical schooling in Malmö and went on to Dalarö Folk High School where he studied euphonium and tuba under Christer Palm.Patrik then studied tuba and euphonium under Michael Lind and Sven-Erik Ericksson for his bachelor’s degree at the renowned Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm where he graduated 1997.In 1995/96 he studied for his Professional Performance Diploma under Steven Mead at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester/UK.In 1997 Patrik won the audition for the Royal Swedish Navy band where he held the position as the solo euphonium until 2007.Between 1997 and 2007 he was the principal euphonium in Gothenburg Brass Band. He has frequently appeared as a soloist worldwide and has performed in Europe, USA, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.He has worked with Stockholm Symphony Orchestra, Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Norrköping Symphony Orcestra, Norrlandsoperan and other professional wind and brass ensembles in Scandinavia. His teaching and conducting employment have included the Gothenburg Music Academy, Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Grieg Academy in Bergen and the Stavanger Conservatory of Music.In 2007 Patrik Randefalk moved to Bergen, Norway. He works as a tutor, conductor, adjudicator and soloist both in Norway and worldwide.2007-2016 he held the principal euphonium position with the renowned Eikanger-Bjørsvik Musikklag.Patrik is an endorser for Sterling Musical Instruments (he play Euphonium Sterling Virtuoso) and he currently plays with the elite band, Tertnes Brass from the Bergen area.After years of developing his own mouthpieces for euphonium, other musicians contacted him asking if they could buy these mouthpieces. As a response he founded his company Randefalk Musikk (randefalkmusic.com) early 2017. Then he started to develop mouthpieces for the full range of brass instruments and other music related products to. He is passionate and driven to help both professional musicians, music-students and amateur-musicians to an even better music life.


Stanley Westh

dømmer 2. og 3. divisionStanley Westh trådte siden 1991 sine barnesko i Prins Jørgens Garde i Vordingborg. I 2004 startede han studier på konservatoriet i Kbh. under Christer Nilsson og Karl Husum.Samtidig startede han i Concord Brass Band, hvor han frem til 2018 spillede. Hvervet som principal cornet i Concord førte bl.a. til møder med udenlandske dirigenter, som hurtigt udviklede sig til et samarbejde rundt i verden. Principal cornet til konkurrencer med Öresund Brass Band, Hepworth Band, Fairey Band, Molde Brass Band, Poynton Band og Wallberg Band kan nævnes. Disse ture har bl.a. ført til solistpris ved SM 2010 og Spring Festival 2018. I 2015 vandt han position som cornet ved Livgardens Musikkorps, og blev samme år Yamaha Artist og medlem af Yamaha Neo Brass. Med dem har han de følgende år spillet og instrueret ved flere lejligheder i England, Skotland, Norge og senest i Tyskland ved det Tyske Ungdoms Brass Band.I 2018 gik turen til Norge som principal cornet for Eikanger-Bjørsvik Musikklag, hvor han i 2019 bl.a. skal dirigere EBML Talentband, og underviser de bedste cornettister i området.
